Meningitis Symptoms in Infants

There are many meningitis symptoms in infants and babies and these symptoms can occur at the same time as well as septicaemia or blood poisoning. We will discuss the septicaemia or blood poisoning symptom of meningitis in both infants and adults later on.

	Fever is a common symptom of meningitis in infants and babies, sometimes with hands and feet feeling cold.
	Infants could refuse feeds or vomit as a symptom of meningitis.
	High pitched moaning cry or whimpering is also a sign of meningitis in infants.
	Most babies like to be handled but babies or infants with meningitis will dislike being handled and are fretful.
